Hampton Roads composer / producer Todd Washburn scores soundtracks for international music licensing companies, notably SCOREKEEPERS MUSIC, a Los Angeles area music library, who supplys scores for networks such as CBS, NBC, ABC, LIFETIME, THE LEARNING CHANNEL, A&E, ANIMAL PLANET, and THE TRAVEL CHANNEL. Some of his tracks have recently been licensed by HBO, VIACOM, DISCOVERY HEALTH CHANNEL, STYLE NETWORK, LIVE CLASSICAL CONCERTS, THE HISTORY CHANNEL, SWIMSUIT SECRETS REVEALED, EVENING WITH THE STARS, SIRIUS AND XM SATELLITE RADIO. The music company functions as a publisher for its composers thus protecting the assignment of royalties. Todd's tracks are placed in programs that repeat many times throughout the world (as many as 130 countries)

Todd has recently engineered and mixed the debut album by Jazz great BRIAN PINNER. The CD, which features an impressive list of guest musicians, will be released early summer 2009. Brian and his band "Forte" will be featured at the 2009 HAMPTON JAZZ FESTIVAL along with Patti LaBelle, George Benson and others.

LURE RECORDS (co-run by Todd Washburn and Ken Pearson), nominated for "True Country Label of the Year" by the Roots Music Association, is currently promoting breakthough Country Music artist SARAH GAYLE TAYLOR. Her debut album "Texas Sweetheart," produced by Todd Washburn, includes song material from award-winning songwriting team GLORIA NISSENSON and GARY PORTNOY ("Cheers" TV theme) along with Sarah's unique originals. Her first single "I Miss Us" went to #10 on the Indie Charts for Country and #16 on the Country Main Chart for radio. Sarah follows the success of the Lure Records release by premier Country Music artist DUSTIN NEIGHBORS, under the development label DOLLIE RECORDINGS, the oldest Indie Label in Nashville. Dustin's new CD titled CIRCLE OF FRIENDS is available for download worldwide. "I Only Want To Dance With You" became the #1 SONG, the week of April 8, 2008 on the IndieWorld Country Music Charts, making Dustin one of the top Indie recording artists in the world. Another great Lure Records debut comes from Norwegian country artist ROY MARTIN. Todd produced his first USA single "Love's Junkyard," which hit the "country up and coming" charts as the #1 most added song for Country radio in January 2009. Roy's second release "Who Said" held the honor of #3 on the "Country most added for radio the week of May 18th 2009.

Recently completed at Todd's studio are two albums by legendary folk artists Bob Zentz and Jeanne McDougall. Bob is a prolific musician, playing several dozen instruments in a repertoire of more than 2,000 songs.  His albums span the genres of folk, traditional, Celtic and maritime music and beyond, and his recordings also appear on other artist compilations. He has been recognized by songwriting legends Johnny Cash and Pete Seeger. Jeanne McDougall is an accomplished singer / songwriter in her own right. Her San Diego-based band, The Westlin Weavers, features a rolling line-up of veteran Scottish contemporary musicians and exciting up-and-coming musicians, who often perform with a wide range of guest Celtic musicians and dancers drawn from across Southern California.

Todd's recording studio in Norfolk, Virginia specializes in soundtrack and album production, as well as audio mastering.
